The video games Carmen San Diego and Math Blaster started it all for me….. Engineering that is. I was amazed at the power of computers back in the 90s and I still am. Graduate work I discovered, during my school years could be a lot like detective work, and that math serves as powerful weapon in an engineers ‘arsenal’ of tools. In my work in the telecom industry I feel like a bit of ‘detective’ or an ‘IT warrior’ hunting spurs – charting new paths through wireless traffic.

To complete my Master’s work, I took my first trip to California, San Diego. I presented at Radio Wireless Week, which is considered a very important conference. Back then I could hardly wait to go on this amazing trip.

For those of you who are technical, you can read my paper. For those of you that aren’t, watch this cool video from Ericsson
