It was my brother who first sparked my interest in engineering, in combination with great influences such as Bill Nye the Science Guy and Star Wars. I still remember my Grade 7 science fair project where I got my brother to help me make an “Anti-Gravity” lifter. I was amazed that 20 kV could make something fly. From then on, I was hooked. I soon learned that electronics functions as the brain of technology, true magic in fact. Since then, I have completed a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering in order to understand this magic. But I find the traditional view of research quite stagnant, and in need of holistic thinking. I intend to use my traditional training as a springboard into holistically combining all my skills in a career of inventing technologies that are for people, and not money.
